Our schedules are busier than ever, and while we have all the best intentions to workout, eat a healthy diet, cook fresh meals daily, and avoid late night takeaways when the cupboards are empty, a quick click on Deliveroo throws all those good habits out the window.
So, we are thrilled to hear that healthy meal plan company, Calo, is finally coming to London.
Some may be familiar with Hello Fresh, or Gousto, but there’s a new kid on the block. Calo is said to be the world’s fastest-growing food tech brand, which brings fully customisable, chef-crafted meals straight to your door, with the added bonus of a nutritionist’s support and insight.
What stands Calo out from the crowd? Calo isn’t your average one-size-fits-all meal plan, and it’s Calo is more than just a box of ingredients with a recipe for you to make.
Calo allows customers to select tasty dishes to suit their dietary requirements and enjoy guilt-free meals without needing to slave over the stove or follow a recipe after a long day.

Calo Meal Plan
Calo offers chef-cooked meals that have been nutritionist approved to your door. Select from protein-rich, low-carb, vegetarian meals to see you from breakfast, lunch, mid-afternoon snack to dinner, to suit your schedule. The app features nutrition-tracking to help maintain your healthy living goals. It’s convenient, tasty and fuss-free. Perfect for working adults, or those who aren’t so great in the kitchen.
Unlike traditional meal services sent to your door, Calo helps to navigate a personalised healthy meal plan, based on meals curated by expert nutritionists and created by chefs, to suit your dietary requirements, lifestyle, budget and health goals, whether it’s to build muscle, lose weight, or simply eat well without the hassle.
Foodies can select their meals to suit their goals, tweak portion sizes, the daily calorie intake and build their own meal. With over 35 meals to select from the menu, which range across breakfast, lunch and dinner options, vegetarian, protein-rich and low-carb options, there is something to suit everyone.
Every meal is crafted by expert chefs using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring top-tier taste and nutrition. However, you can create your own meal, or make swaps to suit your preferences. What we appreciate is the extra details that really make the dish a meal, for example the Chicken Fatteh Bowl includes a savoury garlic dip, so it feels like a takeaway but is more nutritious, affordable, and healthier.
Speaking about the brand, Caspar Rose – the GM of Calo UK – explains: ‘Londoners are busy, and they want a hassle-free way to eat well. Calo is the only meal prep brand that lets you fully customise your food to match your health goals, making eating well easier than ever before.’

And for those concerned about sustainability, Calo has that covered too. The brand is committed to eco-friendly practices, using compostable trays, recyclable pop-off lids, and sourcing ingredients from local suppliers.
If that wasn’t enough, Calo’s app also features a nutritional tracker to help customers stay on track, and be aware of what they are consuming.
With a nationwide launch set for mid-May, Londoners are the first in the UK to experience this game-changing approach to healthy eating.
Plus, Calo is one of the more affordable meal plan services, as the basic lunch and snack package starts at just £11 per day. Though this increases if you would like breakfast and dinner as well, and if you are selecting more days in the week. You can also schedule your delivery to suit your needs, and skip or pause your subscription too.
Calo is set to launch mid May, and while we will keep you updated, you can download the app, or visit the website to find out more.
